Uniqso.com Review: Dolly Eye - Kira Kira Pink Lenses Part

Have I ever told you guys how much I love you? Because I love you a lot. Yes you, and you and even you! I love each and every single one of my readers.
But do you know what would make me love you even more? By clicking the "Follow" button! :D

Anyway, haha random opening but! I'm back again to do a circle lens review. Yes this is another sponsored post but I promise that all my reviews are 100% honest.

www.uniqso.com was kind enough to send me a pair of lenses so I choice the Dolly Eye Kira Kira Pink Lenses. The reason why I decided to go with pink instead of any other color was because pink lenses have always been some what of a mystery to me. I have never tried pink lenses and to be honest, I had always wanted to. Some friends loved it, some friends hated it so I finally decided to take the plunge and try it out for myself.

So, let's get started on the packaging of the lenses!

The lenses came packed in the standard bubble envelope and having come all the way from Malaysia, the envelope was sealed very very nicely. I was also required to sign for the package as well, which is fantastic! I've never had to sign for a package this small before!

Inside the package was this! A lens case and a box.

And inside the box, my lenses! Wrapped in bubble wrap

By the way, can I just say that the box is ADORABLE?! I couldn't get over how cute it is and it has their website link on it too!
Look at them cute little bears.. Ahh! I can`t take my eyes off of them

Here are the lenses and you can see the lens design slightly there. These lenses do come in prescription!

 The bottles are adorable too!
I just also wanted to make a note about the indent mark that all lenses have. As you can see, this indent is a lot different than the ones on the GEO lens vials. The ones on the GEO lens vial can be seen in my post on how to open vials here.

All in all their customer service is phenomenal. The staff were nice and so friendly and having only had contact via email, that says a lot. The shipping time was fast and most importantly, their lenses are in stock lenses. This really cuts down on the waiting time so if you're in a rush, this store is great for you.

Okay, on to the lenses!

Let me first give some information on the lenses

Diameter: 14.5 mm
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Water content: 38%

The lenses themselves are absolutely beautiful. I was a little nervous because although I wanted the pink color to be prominent, I didn't want it to be overpowering. The color definitely blends really well into my eyes.

The lenses are very very comfortable and the enlargement is amazing! I have worn them for such a long time, it's ridiculous!

I highly recommend these lenses so if you're interested in purchasing, please visit www.uniqso.com!

And BONUS! They were so nice to give my readers a 10% discount code!

They are sooo nice!

Overal Recap!

Design:
Beautiful design that blends nicely with my eye color! They remind me of another pair of DueBa lenses that I own!
Comfort:
Definitely one of the more comfortable lenses I have worn. They are definitely a lot more comfortable than GEO Lenses so if you have any issues with GEO lenses and their comfort, try these!
Elargement:
Not the biggest lenses out there but they work. Provide great enlargement and they are definitely suitable for an every day look!

This is starting to be a really long post. Apologies but I wanted to fit everything in! :( I hope you enjoyed and please leave a comment down below

EOTD: Park Bom Inspired Makeup

It`s no secret that Park Bom is one of my all time K-pop idols. She is absolutely beautiful and her legs are seriously GORGEOUS!

Today's Eye of the day (EOTD) is inspired by Park Bom's makeup in the Ugly music video! It's a little dramatic and definitely out of my comfort zone. If you know me, I absolutely LOVE my neutrals. Going through my  make up collection, you'd see all neutral palettes, ie. Naked 2 and Too Faced Neutral Eye Palette! So to find an eye shadow like infamous MAC's Electric Eel, one must think I was absolutely crazy when I went to buy it.

Anyway, this look incorporates the one eye shadow that I never touch and an eye shadow that is so difficult to use. 2 birds 1 stone? Woohoo!

This eyeshadow look is also done following StyleSuzi's video which can be seen here

Product List:

Maybelline Define-a-Brow in Dark Brown
ELF Eyeshadow Primer
MAC Electric Eel Eye Shadow
Urban Decay Sin Eyeshadow (Brow Bone/Inner Lower Lashline)
Urban Decay Blackout Eyeshadow (Lower lashline)
Maybelline Hypersharp Eyeliner
L'Oreal Voluminous False Eyelashes Mascara
L'Oreal Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Black

False Eyelashes: Asian 720 Lashes

By the way, the lenses that I'm wearing, I will be reviewing in an upcoming post! Please stay tuned for that !

Hope you enjoyed today's EOTD

How To Get The Lenses Out Of The Vial

Hi Everyone!

I'm on a blogging spree. Seriously. Even I'm impressed.  It's currently 1:05 AM and my sleep schedule has been a little skewed thanks to the naps that I've been taking during the day and blogging has seriously been the best way to spend my time. Since no one's really awake at this time and the boyfriend is already sleeping, this blog will take away all my boredom and I'll get more posts up for you guys! Win win situation automatically.

ANYWAY, I'm digressing. I decided to do a post on how to get lenses out of vials. I know some people might think that it seems a little.. self explanatory or something really basic but hey, you never know. These are just my techniques and so the post will be short but hopefully nothing short of informative?

Before even getting the lenses out though, you might need to know how to open then lenses themselves. I've actually written a post on this, which can be found here! If you haven't opened your lenses yet then, you will probably want to do that first so GO! And then come back! :D I'll wait.

- tick tock -

You're back! Which means that you've gotten your lenses open. Woohoo! Now it's time to get started on getting your lenses out.

What I like to do is basically flip the lens over in the palm of my hand and wait for the lens to float down to the bottom. Then you want to lift up the vial and release the lens!

I also can't stress enough how you want to do this over a sink with CLEAN HANDS. You don't want to dirty your lenses before you have even started wearing them, right?

Tada, the lenses are out!

So now that they're out, time to pop them into your eyes and see how awesome they look, right? NO!!  STOP RIGHT THERE!

What a lot of people don't know is that the solution in the vials has higher salinity so that the lenses in the vial can have a shelf life of 3 years. This will make your eyes sting if you try to pop them in your eyes and if your eyes are sensitive, they will feel extremely painful.

What you want to do is let them soak in regular contact lens solution overnight, for a minimum of 8 hours.

I know it's a long time to wait to try your lenses but trust me when I say it will be worth it!

Comparison: Geo Nudy Gray vs Geo OL - 105

I was requested to post up some comparison photos of GEO Nudy Gray lenses vs. the GEO Olive (Ash Wing) Lenses that I had reviewed earlier. If you'd like to see them, click here! I was going to do this a lot earlier but I thought I had lost my Nudy grays! Turns out they were under my bed.. =_____=

Anyway, this is going to be a quick informal sort of comparison and reviews for the Nudy Gray lenses will be posted shortly.

GEO Nudy Gray
As you can see, the Nudy lenses have more of a grainy texture and the little specs are somewhat noticeable

GEO OL-105 (Ash Wing)
The lenses have more of an opaque color and a solid dark ring around the perimeter of the lens itself

GEO Nudy Grays

GEO OL-105 (Ash Wing)

This concludes my incredibly short comparison on some of the most popular gray lenses from GEO Medical. If I have missed anything, leave me a comment down below! More in depth reviews will be posted later

How To Open Circle Lens Vials

Hi guys!

I think I'm on a roll in terms of blog posts currently (yay!)   and I'm going to be answering a lot of questions that beginners or people in general might have about circle lenses! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me!

As you can see from the title, this post is going to be on how to open circle lenses. I'll be showing how to open GEO Super Size Angel Brown lenses, which I've done a review on. You can click on the link here.

As a disclaimer, this post might be a little picture heavy because instead of using text to describe them and limited pictures, I will be using more pictures instead of text. Hope that's alright!
Let's get started!

The first thing you want to do is look for a mark like this. Other brands will have different markings but there will be an indent of some sort quite similar to this.
Then, from above the mark, you're going to want to pull the cap upwards to start opening the vial. If done right, it should look like this

 And from an aerial view

After that, you're going to want to pull the cap back until the cap basically lies flat

Again, another photo just for a better view!

Almost there! Next, you're going to want to snap off the cap. If possible you'd want to snap off only one side and then continue on to removing the aluminium ring, but I missed up a little

See, I got the first corner off, and then it fell off.. LOL

But that's okay, right? We can do this!!
Now you want to pull on the aluminium ring to begin to unravel the aluminium. Be careful not to cut yourself here. The aluminium is slightly sharp and although I've never cut myself, I definitely have heard of people who have.

This is what it'll look like and it will come off in two sections

Now it's the final stretch! All you have to do is lift off the rubber stopper and VOILA! Your lenses are free!

Finally, the lens vial has been defeated !

Brand Spotlight: Essence Cosmetics

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to do a brand spotlight on Essence Cosmetics! I've done Brand Spotlights in the past where I've talked about Circle lens companies, but I thought it'd be great to incorporate some posts about various makeup brands as well. So, let's get started!

Essence Cosmetics is a brand that is fairly new to me. It was recently brought to Canada and is exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart but I believe it's been available in the United States through Target for a while now. The brand is not expensive at all, especially for a drugstore brand and delivers a variety of products ranging from eyeshadows to mascara to blush and false eyelashes.  I personally haven't tried many of the products, minus the Stay With Me Longlasting Lipglosses. If you're interested, you can click here to see my first impressions on the product.

Essence Cosmetics is European company which launched in 2002. For such inexpensive products, all their products are made in Poland, versus the usual Made In China, which is awesome! They also do not test on animals as well!

All in all, Essence Cosmetics is an awesome brand and I think it has lots of potential. I can't wait to try more products.

PS! The above picture is the display in the US but in Canada, we don't have that wide of a variety. I think we have half of what's pictured!

For more information, please visit their website at http://www.essence.eu/home.html

Lenscircle.com Review: Part 2: GEO Super Size Angel Brown Lens Review (XCM-214)

Hi there!

I'm back again to do part 2 of my review on the lenses that I received from www.lenscircle.com. For this review, I decided to choose the GEO Super Size Angel Brown lenses and I've had my eyes set on these for a while now. I've always loved the GEO Angel series and they were the first series I've ever tried in terms of circle lenses. This is also the first time I'm trying lenses from the "Super Size" series that GEO has recently come out with.

To start off, I'll give you some info on the lenses themselves:

Diameter: 14.8mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6

I've been wearing theses lenses for a few days now and they are amazing. They make my eyes look dolly without looking scary and despite being so large, they are great for every day use. They are a little bit bigger than the standard circle lens (14mm) but the comfort level is still the exact same.

Generally speaking, I tend to have the standard 8 hours of wear with GEO lenses and they aren't the most comfortable lenses I've ever worn but I think that these are pretty much everything I expected from the lenses.

Overall recap !
Design:
Personally I love the design of Angel lenses so naturally I would love the design of the Super Size ones as well. If you haven't been a fan of Angel lenses, I'm not so sure you'd be a fan of these lenses.
Comfort:
Theses lenses are nothing short of comfortable and I have quite normal eyes in the sense that I don't seem to experience too much discomfort and I don't have extremely sensitive eyes either. For others it might be a little bit too uncomfortable but I can't guarantee.
Enlargement:
Definitely enlarges but isn't the largest lenses that you can find on the market. I guess enlargement is subjective so it really all depends on what you're looking for!

And here is an upclose image of the lens and the design!

All pictures were taken indoors with natural lighting

To purchase these lenses and more, please visit www.lenscircle.com

Hope you guys enjoyed the review! There will be definitely a lot more reviews coming up so stay tuned!

Lenscircle.com Review: Part 1: Packaging/Service

Hi!

Recently I received a pair of circle lenses from lenscircle.com. I was so excited to receive the lenses that the post was going to be a little picture heavy so I decided to split it up into two parts. I'll be talking about their packaging and service here and then I'll be uploading the review on the lenses that I chose right after

First off, even before I had been sent the lenses to review, lenscircle.com was amazing. Their replies were quick and the process could not have been better. Within a day of choosing the lenses, I got a tracking number for my package and within 5 business days, it arrived at my door. The service was phenomenal and I could not have been happier. I believe their lenses are all in stock, and despite me having a prescription, there was no wait time. Since I've only ordered with people who did batch orders, I was extremely surprised to see the lenses sent out so quickly! This is amazing for people who don't want to have to wait an overly long time for lenses.

I first received the package in the mail and the lenses were packaged in a nice bubble wrap envelope. I was surprised they used such a big envelope for such a tiny package!

Opening it up I saw this adorable leopard print pouch
Opening that up, I saw the lenses (woohoo)! And they're wrapped in more bubble wrap! Definitely a bonus in my opinion.

Here's the inside of the package and it has the lenses, lens case, and lens care instructions. There's also the instruction sheet that comes with all GEO circle lenses. The contents of the package are amazing.

Overall, I think that lenscircle.com is an amazing site. There's no wait time and the process of ordering, getting the order and all that was so quick that I was pleasantly surprised. I definitely think that if you want lenses quick, lenscircle.com is a great website for you and I highly highly recommend them!

To purchase lenses, please visit www.lenscircle.com
Be sure to stay tuned for the review in Part 2!
